That is the ultimate challenge as a provider of a XaaS solution. XaaS solutions are easy to deploy, but also easy to rip out. You must win, and keep on winning, your customers&#039; business every day. 

Agreed. Technology should not be the focus of XaaS providers. We have found that many customers are primarily interested in the benefits of XaaS and are not enamored by the technology itself. And yes, they often want more than an out-of-the-box XaaS solution. It will take time for the XaaS industry to figure out which segments can be satisfied with pure self-service and which will require that we deliver some custom capabilities. Obviously the sophistication of the application area is higher for the latter.</description>

		<description>Fantastic post!  Your are right on!  The change is coming, and there will be wealth created by the people who get &quot;servitization&quot; and their will be pain for the &quot;old school&quot; VARs and ISVs that have to migrate.  

Most people only think this benefits the end consumer, be it business or individual, but flattening the revenue curve with subscription based income, while hard to watch until the new line sits right near the top of the old cyclical peaks of sales, is a great thing for the XaaS vendor too!
